As part of its campaign to end street homelessness in Cornwall, county charity St Petroc’s Society has invited theatre company, Cardboard Citizens, to bring its show Cathy to Cornwall this March.

Cardboard Citizens has been making theatre with and for homeless people for over 25 years and this is the first time they have brought their work to Cornwall.

St Petroc’s Society’s campaign to end street homelessness in Cornwall was launched in October and has included an art exhibition, business conference, film screening and poster campaign, all designed to raise awareness of the scale of the problem and to seek support and solutions.

Inspired by Ken Loach and Jeremy Sandford’s ground-breaking film Cathy Come Home, the production imagines a Cathy for the modern age.

Cathy is at St Austell Arts Theatre on Saturday, March 17 and is also performed in Penzance and Truro.

Tickets are available from the Cornish Riviera Box Office, 01726 879500, crbo.co.uk
