Local residents are being invited to hear about policing at the St Blazey, Fowey and Lostwithiel Community Network Panel meeting on Monday, June 19.
At the meeting Alison Hernandez, the elected Police and Crime Commissioner for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, will be updating the panel and answering questions on the Police and Crime Plan and neighbourhood policing.
This follows a representative from the Police and Crime Commissioner going along to discuss the Police and Crime Plan at January’s network panel meeting.
There will also be an update from Kevin Marsh, the project manager on the Cornubia project.
Kevin will explain how the plans to redesign the old Bonhams building in the centre of Par into a community hub are progressing.
These plans include using the building in a variety of ways and the building reverting to its old traditional name of Cornubia.
More details about the project can be found on http://www.parbay.org.uk/cornubia/
As this is the Annual General Meeting the panel will be asked to elect a chair for the next 12 months.
In addition the panel will be asked to agree and approve a schedule of priorities for the area that will look to influence policies across Cornwall, local projects and how local services are delivered.
This is a public meeting so everyone is welcome. There will be an opportunity for people to ask questions and to meet their Town, Parish and Cornwall Councillors.
The St Blazey, Fowey and Lostwithiel Community Network Panel includes all five Cornwall Councillors for the area, representatives of the eight Parish Councils (Boconnoc, Broadoak, Lanlivery, Luxulyan, St Sampson, St Veep, St Winnow and Tywardreath and Par) and three Town Councils (Fowey, Lostwithiel, St Blaise) in the community network area.
This meeting is from 7pm to 9pm at Alexander Hall, Middleway, St Blazey.
