BODMIN Moor’s status as a world-class site for star-gazing has been the inspiration for some new street name suggestions in Liskeard.

Pegasus Grove, Orion Avenue and Scorpius Street could all be possible future addresses when Wainhomes build their development off Charter Way.

The Town Council were asked to put forward a list of names for streets on the new estate, which will have up to 207 houses as well as a commercial area.

Councillors hit upon the idea of using the names of stars and constellations because Bodmin Moor has recently been designated an International Dark Sky Landscape.

The ideas will now be considered by Cornwall Council.
