More than 150 residents who signed a petition against further development on their housing estate in Liskeard are celebrating victory.

The Trevillis Park and Joan Moffatt Close Residents’ Association has welcomed the rejection of a planning appeal lodged by Acquiro SW Ltd on behalf of developer Andrew Lopes.

The appeal had been lodged after Cornwall Council had refused a planning application for 14 homes.

The planning inspector said there were traffic safety issues and that the proposed development would have had poor access.
