Primary school children have taken part in a lively session about the future of their parish.
In the villages that make up the parish of Calstock, members of the public have been attending drop-in meetings to give their views on the Neighbourhood Plan. Once it is finalised, the plan will inform planning decisions up until 2030.
Councillor Alastair Tinto, who chairs the Neighbourhood Plan Committee, said: ‘Wwe have been pleased with the turn out at our sessions and those who have spoken to us have been really engaged and brought a number of issues up.
‘We were very grateful to Calstock School for enabling us to hold a pupil session with some of the older children – again, this was well attended and was a lively session with lots of good ideas from the children.’
Hard copies of response forms have been circulated to local residents and this form is available online at www.plan4calstockparish.uk, where the detail of the plan can also be viewed.
Comments should be sent by October 17 so that all views can be considered before the plan is finalised, says the committee.
