PLANS for a large housing development on the edge of Liskeard appear to be moving again as a developer seeks to establish whether an Environmental Impact Assessment is needed.
Outline planning permission was granted in 2016 for a development at Tencreek Farm including 275 houses, a care home and doctor’s surgery as well as employment and leisure space.
The developer Wilton Homes was looking to take these plans forward.
This permission has lapsed, and now, a new developer, Westcountry Land, has produced an illustrative masterplan for Cornwall Council which shows 274 houses, 36 retirement apartments, and a community building.
Westcountry Land acquired options to purchase two parcels of land at Tencreek earlier this year. The developer has applied to the local planning authority to ask if an EIA must be carried out: in 2015, when plans were first submitted, the scheme did not fall within the required criteria but in 2017, the regulations changed.
