A PLAN to restore and convert an old rectory into three homes can go ahead, says Cornwall Council.

The internal conversion of the Grade II Listed Old Rectory in Sheviock will return the building more closely to its original layout, says its owner.

The project will see a modern covered courtyard demolished and stained glass windows reinstated.

The Old Rectory was build in the 1840s, and has been used in recent decades as an art gallery and tea rooms, before being turned into flats.

Sheviock Parish Council had supported the scheme.
