Ideas are being sought to help turn an empty town centre building into a vibrant, adaptable and attractive space.
The Grade II Listed Highwood House on the Parade in Liskeard has been both a school and a mini shopping arcade in its history, and was most recently the home of Parade Discounts.
It’s been empty for almost three years and is in a poor state of repair, but now its owner is looking for good ideas which will best use the building while preserving its historic fabric and appearance.
Hella Tovar will be at a meeting of Liskeard Town Forum this evening and is looking forward to hearing from anyone with ideas.
Find out about planning applications that affect you by visiting the Public Notice Portal.
Also on the agenda for tonight’s meeting, which will start at the Public Hall at 7.30pm: Chair of the Liskeard Traders Association Lin Moore will present the Association’s concerns on plans for the Cattle Market as they stand so far and will put forward some of the Traders’ views, and the Liskeard and Looe Foodbank will highlight its work during a time of increased pressure for local families.
