AT a meeting of Lostwithiel Town Council, it was reported that the revised figure for total new housing required across the county in the draft Cornwall Council Local Plan has increased from 47,500 homes to 52,500. Cllr Gillett said the housing figure in the St Blazey, Fowey and Lostwithiel Community Network area has also increased by 100 to 900. He presented the Neighbourhood Plan working party report on the current housing situation in Lostwithiel with an illustrated map. This showed the number of houses and areas with planning consent, the areas that had been identified suitable for future development, and areas where applications had been refused.
