RESIDENTS of Torpoint can hear about the progress of the town’s Neighbourhood Plan at a public meeting in the Council Chambers on Saturday.

In the seven months since the plan was launched, the steering group has met with hundreds of members of the public, as well as analysing the results of a large-scale survey. The group has worked with all age groups to identify the types of development favoured, the best locations for new development and areas people would like to see preserved.

‘We feel the time is right to begin to share the progress of the project so far, and for townsfolk to feel that they can have an opinion on the ideas coming forward,’ said Councillor Andrea Johnson, who chairs the Neighbourhood Plan steering group.

‘We hope this event will be every bit as well attended as our earlier public meetings. The steering group is very excited to be able to show the progress of seven months of hard work and consultation.’

The Neighbourhood Plan drop-in meeting will take place on November 21, with three chances to hear a presentation: sessions will begin at 10am, midday and 2pm, with the opportunity to ask questions after each

presentation.
