Emergency plans for West Looe in the case of a landslip have been reviewed.
A document drawn up in the wake of the 2012 landslide in Hannafore Road has been re-adopted by the town council.
The plan recommends that, in the event of a slip blocking the road, the most feasible alternative access to Hannafore for emergency vehicles is from the track leading to the reservoir near Portlooe Barton Farm.
The second part of the plan includes information on who would take the lead in the event of an incident.
The emergency access management plan was drawn up by Looe Town Council with Cornwall Council’s emergency planning officer, a senior Cornwall Council Highways manager, a senior Cormac manager and Devon and Cornwall Police. Copies of the plan have been lodged with all the emergency services.
