A new business park proposed for land near the Trerulefoot Roundabout would include a light industrial unit, workshops, and office space. The five-acre site is on agricultural land behind the petrol station and runs parallel to the A38. Access to the site would be via a new road between the service station and a farm on the Catchfrench road. A 1,200 square metre agricultural-related packing and distribution unit would be the largest concern on the development, with associated car parking, delivery yard, and ancillary accommodation. Two sets of rural workshops and two blocks of offices, plus separate car parking for each, would form the remainder.

An outline planning application has now been submitted to Cornwall Council, and the proposed development will be discussed by members of St Germans Parish Council at its meeting on April 25.
