A PLANNING appeal for the construction of three holiday cottages, a caretakers flat and laundry facilities has been received by the Department of the Environment. The plan is based at Trewalla Farm, Commonmoor, near Liskeard and the appeal will be dealt with by the written representation method. The plan was originally refused by Caradon District Council as the development was on land beyond the recognised development limit and the council felt the development would 'adversely affect the amenity and landscape value of an Area of Great Landscape Value and the Minions Conservation area'. The construction of a residential unit for a caretaker was also contrary to part of the Caradon Local Plan and the County structure plan. A copy of the appellant's appeal form, specifying the grounds of appeal together with associated documents is available for inspection at Caradon District Council's Planning Department, Luxstowe House, Liskeard between 8.30am and 5pm weekdays.
