THE latest edition of the Cornish Times - the first of 2022 - is on sale from today, and content includes:

- A Menheniot man who became the UK’s youngest sub-postmaster at the age of 18 and who with his team has gone on to provide post office outreach services to villages across South East Cornwall, as well as running a successful store and helping those isolating through the COVID crisis, has been awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the Queen’s New Year Honours list. We speak to him to hear his reaction.
- Reporter Scarler Hills Brooks talks a member of the Looe RNLI team who has run the length of the Smugglers Way from Boscastle to Looe overnight to raise money for the town’s lifeboat appeal.
- An organisation based at Cremyll which is restoring a historic river barge originally built at Calstock on the Tamar is one of the recipients of Government Culture Recovery grants in the wake of the COVID crisis.
