Messages to loved ones expressed through dance, and filmed by local people in special locations, will be screened later this month at Sterts Theatre.
Physical Postcards has been a year-long project supported by the FEAST arts programme and Arts Council England, and is the brainchild of professional dancers Lois Taylor, Sarah Fairhall and Gemma Kempthorne.
The trio invited people to create their own minute-long ’messages from the body’ and post them online.
The short dance clips have been dedicated to family and friends in far away places, to parents, lovers, and to relatives who are no longer alive.
Film-maker Brett Harvey and composer Jamie Mills have collaborated to create two films made during the project, Moving Messages and Physical Postcards.
The end of the project will be celebrated with performances and screenings at each of the partner venues. The event at Sterts at Upton Cross will take place on Friday, October 28.
