Premier Division
Gunnislake 1 Pensilva 1
Pensilva started this game in the relegation zone, but knew at least a point would be enough to see them safe and send Altarnun into Division One.
Gunnislake began the better of the teams, and had a good chance to go in front on 15 minutes through Jaryd Kelly, but Pensilva goalkeeper Dan Parsons made a good save before Kelly's follow-up was cleared off the line by player-manager Colin Swinburne.
The visitors got better as the half went on, with the Gunni goalkeeper making some good saves from Zak Peel and Mark Tuck. Kelly had a great chance to score on the hour-mark from a great cross into the box, but he headed against the crossbar.
Pensilva were unlucky not to go in front on 70 minutes when Jamie Page sent Jon Firth away down the left wing; he played a cross in for the outstretched Peel to put narrowly wide.
They then hit the woodwork on 75 minutes when Steve Rendle fired a good low strike from 18 yards which struck the post.
Gunni finally broke the deadlock with ten minutes remaining, when a mix-up in the box between defender Dan Hassam and Parsons resulted in a free-kick from six for a back-pass.
Stef Kelly took the free-kick and he fired into the back of the net, which left the Altarnun players and management ecstatic on the sidelines.
However, with the Pens staring relegation in the face, Mike Rendle picked the ball up 25 yards from goal and hit a scorcher straight in to the top corner for the point to keep them up.
