Penn Cornwall Tennis League- Sunnybanks set the early pace
Promoted Sunnybanks A have already taken a commanding lead in the Mens' Premier Division after recording excellent maximums against both Liskeard A and Truro A, only dropping just one set in each match.
Wadebridge B have taken the lead in Division Two (East) after their easy 10-0 win over their own C team who had previously done well to take four points in their match against unbeaten Bude B.
The first drawn match of the season occurred in the Division Three (East) match between Bude C and Newquay. The stars of this tight encounter were the Newquay pairing of Terry Askey and Paul Cole, who did not drop one set. However, Bude C hold on to top spot although the 10 points gained by Bodmin B against struggling Looe places them in a threatening position with a match in hand. Bude D gained their second win of the season after a close 7-4 result over Truro D.
In the big match in the Ladies' Premier Division, Penzance A gained a vital 8-3 win over rivals Truro A. Bude B remain unbeaten in Division One (East) after gaining 19 points in the two matches against their own D team whilst Penzance B continue to dominate in Division One (West), gaining their fourth successive maximum, this time against the unfortunate St Agnes team. In Division Two (East), St Austell D have now joined Wadebridge B on level points at the top of the Division after their 10-1 win over Liskeard B whilst Launceston keep in touch after their close 7-4 win against Looe. Ali Parnell and Jenny Worth were once again unbeaten for Launceston.
