FOR the second time this year Cornwall Council is offering free parking in some of its car parks to encourage more people to shop in town centres.

Organised in the same way as in February, parking will be free in selected car parks, on Wednesday, October 31, but must be accompanied by a Cornwall Council free parking voucher.

The voucher is available to be cut out on this page and can also be downloaded on the council's website: http://www.cornwall.gov.uk">www.cornwall.gov.uk, which is a free service in local libraries.

A Cornwall Council spokesperson said: 'This scheme is exactly the same as the previous one we did and is aimed at encouraging people to come in and use the town centres.

'It is only valid from 9.30am so anyone parking before then will  have to pay.'

The voucher is not valid in the following car parks in the South East Cornwall area: Callington, New Road North; Liskeard,  Upper Sungirt and Westbourne; Looe, Riverbank; Saltash, Belle Vue West, Culver Road; and Torpoint, Antony Road.
