Despite missing their influential captain, Kerry Elliott, Liskeard Panthers put in an excellent performance against top-of-the-table Predators at Lux Park to climb to third in the overall standings. The Panthers organised themselves well, and their different line-up proved to be very effective.

Great play from centre Siobhan Howe (C) to wings Amy Hoskin (WA) and Erin Downe (WD) ensured that Liskeard had plenty of routes to goal. And excellent shooting from Vicky Ford and Christina Broad proved hard to beat as the hosts took a lead into the second quarter. Telling interceptions and movement within the opposing circle by Vicky Hastings, Sophie Thomas and Kay Barker made sure that the Predators were kept at bay and secured a much-needed victory for the Panthers, especially if they wish to gain promotion at the end of the campaign.
