Non-emmets sniff it out . . .

In reply to Mr Webb's letter (July 2) asking who complained about that smell - we did - three very disgruntled locals, along with a lot of other local residents.

In East Taphouse, you could open your windows; local people in Looe could not. Also, Mr Webb, we are Cornish born and bred, not emmets. Our families have lived here for generations. This was no ordinary farmyard smell. It affected all of Looe and the surrounding area.
