Latest COVID-19 figures for the Duchy in the period September 24-30 have revealed a new ‘cluster’ of virus cases in South East Cornwall – and one of the other local clusters has seen an increase in numbers of people affected while another has seen a decrease.

A ‘cluster’ is defined as an area where there are three or more positive cases of the coronavirus in a particular geographical area of 7,500 people.

The new South East Cornwall cluster comprises four cases in Saltash Town and Pilmere.

Meanwhile the previously reported cluster in the area of Lanreath, Pelynt and Polruan has increased from nine cases to 15, while the Rame Peninsula cluster in the area of Kingsand, Antony and Maryfield has decreased slightly from 16 cases to 13.
