A DEVELOPER has laucnhed a new scheme to help miklitary personnel get onto the housing ladder.

Barratt Developments, which has new houses in Looe and in Launceston, has announced its Armed Forces Deposit Contribution Scheme.

The scheme offers a 5% deposit contribution towards any new Barratt or David Wilson Home, and is open to army, navy and RAF personnel based in Cornwall and currently employed or who have left military service in the last 12 months.

Barratt says it is a proud supporter of the Armed Forces: the company has brought over 70 veterans into its business through its Armed Forces Transition Programme over the last 18 months.

Meanwhile, the developer is beginning a phased re-start of work at its sites in progress across the South West, inlcuding at Chapel Gate in Launceston.
