Loganair is to operate four new routes from Cornwall Airport Newquay from next spring.

The services will fly to Newcastle, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Norwich and tickets went on sale this week.

Launching on April 1 are Newquay to Newcastle with fares from £69.99 one way. This year-round service of four flights a week is an alternative to the fastest daily rail service - with one change and 20 stops taking 9 hours 38 minutes versus an 85-minute non-stop flight and Newquay to Aberdeen with fares from £74.99 one way. A year-round service some of the flights will call at Newcastle.

Newquay to Norwich, a summer service, will launch on April 3, with fares from £59.99 one way. The 80-minute flight contrasts with an 8 hour 30 minute rail or road journey. A summer service from Newquay to Glasgow will launch on May 22 with fares from £69.99 one way.

All Loganair fares include a free checked baggage allowance, allocated seating and complimentary in-flight refreshments.
