A FORMER managing director of Ginsters is to take on a new role in the business world.
Mark Duddridge (pictured) will become the chair of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) early next year.
The business-led partnership, which was established in 2011, aims to drive economic growth and job creation in the county.
Mark, 52, is a main board director of Samworth Brothers which owns Callington-based Ginsters and Tamar Foods. He was managing director of Ginsters, best known for its pasties, for 15 years and has been with Samworth Brothers for almost 20 years.
Mark is married with two teenage sons and lives near Callington. He is a trustee of the Prince’s Countryside Fund, a trustee of CHICKS (Countryside Holidays for Inner City Kids) and the chair of governors at Callington Community College.
A passionate gig rower, he is a member of Caradon Gig Rowing Club and a veteran of several world gig championships on the Isles of Scilly.
Mark said: ‘I am thrilled to have been offered this position. Having spent much of my 30 years in industry in Cornwall, I’m looking forward to bringing my skills and experience to the job.’
