New kayak and dinghy racks at Portwrinkle have been snapped up by boat owners – and a mechanised winch is proving to be a boon to harbour users. The facilities were officially opened by Cornwall Harbours Board chairman Loic Rich. A £5,850 grant for the racks and winch came from the Coastal Communities Revival Fund. Parish councillor John Isaac said: ‘The opening event was attended by many boat and kayak owners and villagers. ‘The dinghy and kayak racks are already fully occupied, meaning that the number of people able to use the harbour has doubled, which is fantastic. ‘It’s been bustling down there with kayaks everywhere.
