VOLUNTEERS are needed to run a charity shop in Looe. Following the formal merging of Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell and St Julia's Hospice in Hayle into the single charity Cornwall Hospice Care, the group is appealing for volunteers to work in the recently acquired shop in Looe's Fore Street. An information morning has been arranged for Tuesday, May 9, in the Guildhall, East Looe, from 9.30am-noon. Group manager Verity Barker said: 'We are inviting people along to meet staff and volunteers from the Hospice and learn more about Cornwall Hospice Care and how people can help make a difference for patients in Cornwall with life-threatening illnesses. 'We are very excited to be opening our new Looe shop, which is our 21st shop in Cornwall, and look forward to welcoming people along to our information session.' l If anyone is unable to attend and would like further information, please contact Janet or Verity on (01726) 874516.
