WARNING signs to tell people that a 30mph speed limit is in force through Kelly Bray are to be asked for by Callington Town Council. A recent change of speed limit has been put in the village, but for a small stretch on Launceston Road, following the end of Kelly Bray, the limit goes back up to 40 before coming back to 30mph as you enter Callington. Speaking at this week's monthly meeting, Cllr Andrew Long said that warning chevrons are usually put in to warn about the difference in speed, but they were not there. Cllr John McAra said the change of speed limits makes it difficult to observe the law. 'It makes you think "what is the speed limit here." It's terribly confusing.' The council is to ask Cornwall County Council for the signs to be put in place.
