A world renowned musician will bring sounds from around the globe to the Tamar Valley.
Phillip Henry will be making Calstock Arts one of the first stops on a national tour to promote his solo album True North.
Phillip has spent the last decade travelling the world with his slide guitar, collecting tunes, stories and instruments.
Commemorating ten years since his journey to India to study under the great slide guitarist Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya, the album includes music written whilst kangaroo spotting in Australia, tunes learn on First Nations reservation land in Canada, songs of the road, and pieces written by musician friends from Kent to Kolkata.
The fusion of global styles is deeply infused with Phillip’s British folk roots, and his live show is a not-to-be-missed evening which promises to inspire the mind and lighten the soul, says Calstock Arts.
Phillip Henry will play at Calstock Arts on Friday (November 3) from 8pm - doors open at 7pm.
