A MUCH-loved mural has had a makeover thanks to a Town Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Callington’s ’Secret Pasty Factory’ artwork has been refreshed and revamped in glorious colour by the LOCI art collective.

The work, which had to go on hold because of the pandemic, is part of a project to reinvigorate and extend the Callington Mural Trail.

A competition to design three new murals for the town has now also been resumed with a later entry date. A Callington theme for the paintings is ’preferred but not essential’ and the winners will have their artwork placed prominently on the Lloyds Pharmacy wall in New Road.

Entries are due in by August 22 and should be sent as a photograph of an A4 design to callingtonvirtualshow2020@yahoo.com

The winners will be given a mural board measuring 1.7m by 1.2m and £80 to purchase materials for the completion of their work.
