MORE consultation is to take place on increases to car parking charges in Cornwall.

Last month Cornwall Council members called in the cabinet's parking charges decision which sees charges for the first hour double to 40p in the former Caradon area.

The decision was discussed by the council's overview and scrutiny committee last week but members chose not to refer the car park charges back to the cabinet.

This week, however, the council announced that because the charges which went out for consultation in November have been altered, more consultation must take place.
