THE Pupil Premium, additional Government funding given to schools so they can support disadvantaged pupils, will see £2.71m allocated in South East Cornwall in 2014-15.
A total of £1,300 will be given for each eligible primary school pupil. The Pupil Premium will be £935 for secondary pupils and £1,900 for looked-after children.
These figures represent increased financial support for pupils.
Local MP Sheryll Murray said: 'This is excellent news for disadvantaged pupils and their families.'
