PUBLIC toilets in a popular moorland village could be open again for the summer season. The conveniences at Minions have been shut over the winter period, and the threat of permanent closure had loomed, as Cornwall Council withdraws its subsidy for the running of toilets in the county. But in a change to a previous decision, Linkinhorne Parish Council has now agreed to take on the running of the facility. Councillors say they hope to have the toilets open as soon as possible. Negotiations with local businesses which have expressed an interest in helping to run the toilets are taking place, said a spokesperson for the council.
