Supermodel Elle Macpherson was clearly upset as a talented Torpoint model bowed out of a televised modelling competition ahead of the live final.

Elle, who presents Britian's Next Top Model, had championed Charlotte Holmes from the start of the show and it was left to her to deliver the bad news. Viewers of the Living channel watched Charlotte miss out on a place in the live final on Monday evening, but as she prepared to leave the house for the final time she said she had 'enjoyed every second'.

Following her exit, Charlotte told the Cornish Times she prepared herself mentally to leave when fellow contestant Joy was put through to the final.

'Elle was backing me from the beginning and to have her support was fantastic. Hopefully she might have something exciting up her sleeve for me, but I am going to just keep working hard and hope nice opportunities come my way. The competition was so hard and the top three will definitely go on to model. I wish them the best of luck.'

Former Torpoint Community College pupil Charlotte is determined to continue modelling and is also looking at doing TV presenting after the show uncovered a hidden talent. The models were set tasks each week and Charlotte, who now lives in Guildford, won all of the TV presenting tasks on the show.
