Playing uphill against the wind Liskeard missed a quick run and try by St Austell followed by a conversion. Liskeard fought back hard and a good pass by Luke on the line enabled Nathan to score. Kicking into the wind, Nathan just missed the conversion, with the ball hitting the post. St Austell managed another three tries and conversions but a quick tap and go by Brendan resulted in a scrum which Nathan scored again and this time Greg managed a brilliant conversion into the wind. At the half-time whistle it was St Austell 28, Liskeard/Looe 12.
The second half seemed much better for Liskeard/Looe. Brendan made a brilliant run from Liskeard/Looe's try line dodging St Austell players who were unable to catch him. He finally put the ball down under St Austell's post allowing Greg another conversion. Jake scored a try, but unfortunately the referee didn't allow it as he couldn't see because the post was in the way. This didn't bother Jake at all as he went on to score another try with a St Austell player hanging off his neck, which again Greg converted.
Liskeard/Looe's game is forever improving and they managed to win three-quarters of the scrums and the lineouts even though St Austell played a majority of U-12's.
