Penzance Pirates were latest opponents for the Liskeard/Looe Super U-9s and a tough away match was expected. From the start both teams got into their game but Liskeard quickly scored the determination of Phil trevelyan paid off as he forced his way over the line. The home team responded running in an easy try. Taken aback Liskeard dug in and they soon scored a second try. Another followed by half time giving Liskeard the lead by three to one.

The match referee gave Liskeard no favours but the visitors had come up against this before and have learned not to get upset.

At the start of the second half Penzance obviously concerned at being behind worked hard to close the gap. Liskeard's response was to put another two tries past Penzance. Although Penzance scored again their efforts waned as Liskeard piled on the pressure. Penzance were not going to get past the away team's defence. Sam Goodman, Kennan Fowlie and Robert Fowlie kept right in the oppositions faces as was Phil Trevelyan giving them little chance of getting or retaining possession. By the end Jawad Micklasewikz had scored two as did Josh Taylor and one to Trevelyan. Liskeard won 25-15. Eight wins now for the season. This was Penzance's first defeat.

Sunday's team Phil Trevelyan, Nick Haley, Robert Fowlie, Kennan Fowlie, Josh Taylor, James Burke, Dean Tandy, Nick Mears, Sam Goodman, jawad Micklasewikz and Cadan Hitchens.
