TORPOINT'S mini marathon will take place on Sunday, October 3, in joint aid of the town's Christmas Lights and the proposed new Youth Club. Last year's event was such a great success, with nearly 100 entrants raising over £1,500, that the organisers decided to make it an annual event. Starting at the Carbeile Inn at 10.30am, there will be three routes, a five mile, four mile, and fun run, and all entrants can enjoy a free barbecue after the race. Entries are invited from all age groups, people of all abilities, and walkers are welcome to participate.
