Prostate Cancer UK’s pub initiative, the Men United Arms, is back and this year, Masterchef judge Gregg Wallace is calling on pubs in Devon and Cornwall to host a fundraising event in order to help save men’s lives.

Matt Bailey at the Par Inn has loads of activities planned including a quiz night and barbecue evening. He was signed up to host an event by one of the pub’s regulars, Michael, who having been diagnosed with prostate cancer, had his prostate removed five weeks ago.

649 men in Devon and Cornwall are currently living with prostate cancer, with 178 dying from the disease in the area last year, and 8,962 living with or after prostate cancer.

Whether it’s hosting a quiz, a live music night or darts competition, Gregg is asking locals in to encourage their landlords to sign up and fundraise, in support of Prostate Cancer UK.
