A NEW Memory Cafe is set to start in Looe tomorrow, offering social activities and the chance to reminisce.
The Looe Community Memory Cafe will be held at St Martin’s Hall on the second Friday afternoon of each month, and will be officially opened by Looe mayor Armand Toms tomorrow, at 2pm.
‘Although there are several memory cafes in the wider district, there has been none in Looe up until now,’ said secretary Deirdre Croker.
‘There will be stimulating activities, chat and reminiscences, a sing-song and tea and cakes.
‘It is all free of charge, though we ask those attending to bring a carer or friend.’
The Memory Cafe is a joint venture between local churches and representatives of the Looe community.
