A BROKEN arm was no bar to the new Saltash mayor who attended her inauguration ceremony wearing a sling.

Councillor Jean Dent had fallen in Fore Street earlier in the afternoon while making her way to the town’s Guildhall.

However, after a quick trip to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, the new mayor was back in Saltash in time for the traditional ceremony at 6pm.
