The Liskerrett Community Centre in Varley Lane, Liskeard, will be holding its May Fair on Monday. The fun starts at 10am, when there will be a procession of jousting knights with their horses led by Liskeard's Town Crier. The fair will then be officially opened by mayor Anne Purdon, while the South East Cornwall Accordion Club Band will play throughout the day. Liskeard Market Pre-school will be providing a host of games and activities for younger children, including a bouncy castle, while outside there will be games and activities for older children and adults, including pig bladder polo. The fair this year will also have a broad gardening theme in support of Liskeard Gardens For All events – a celebration of all things to do with gardens and gardening that will be happening in the town throughout this month.
