The turning point in this enthralling midweek encounter at Lux Park was the marginal, 61st-minute decision by the referee's assistant that Liskeard goalkeeper Chris Wearing had carried the ball outside of his area.
The decision left referee Tony Cloak with no other choice but to produce a red card – and Wearing's replacement in goal, central defender Martin Giles, was soon in action as he picked Holsworthy's equaliser out of the back of his net.
