There could be many benefits to Liskeard if the new cinema plans (Cornish Times, 28.03.08 – Plans to put back funds for cinema) are successful. If the screenings at the Public Hall were regular (like once or twice a week) then it would bring people back into the town centre and further its viability. Also residents of Caradon wouldn't have to travel to St Austell or Plymouth. The project could be run as a not-for-profit concern and help those who need new skills.
