The local economy benefited from an estimated £1.3million boost last year thanks to visitors to the holiday property Bond's development at Duloe Manor near Looe. Figures released this week show that visitors to the Manor spent an average of £175-a-head per holiday on non-accommodation items such as visiting tourist attractions, buying souvenirs and frequenting pubs, restaurants and local shops. The company says that, since Duloe Manor opened in 1987, its visitors have spent about £17.69million locally. Carolyn Parkinson, site manager at Duloe, said: 'Because we offer high quality self-catering accommodation, most of our visitors spend on average £175 per visit on non-accommodation items, which in the main goes into the coffers of local businesses.'
