People are being encouraged to take part in a day of fun when the Man Engine arrives in Liskeard.

The colossal metal Cornish miner, the largest mechanical puppet built in Britain, will visit the centre of Liskeard on Tuesday, July 26, as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations for the Cornwall and West Devon Mining World Heritage Site.

The construction will arrive on The Parade at noon and the organisers of the event promise the town will be alive with music and art.
