Traders in Liskeard say the only way to save the town's weekly market is to move it to a more central location. Numbers of traders and shoppers at the Saturday market have dwindled at the cattle market in recent months with as few as three stalls operating some weeks.
A request by Liskeard's Traders Association to hold the market on The Parade was given the support of Liskeard town councillors at a meeting this week.
More details in this week's Cornish Times.
