A family who are new to the Callington area are hoping to reinstate a majorettes group in the town.

The family, who have extensive experience of running successful troupes both in the UK and abroad, say that the group they would like to form would be suited to both boys and girls.

While it is intended to begin with majorette routines, the group’s activities could be developed to include flag-throwing and other performance skills.

An appeal has gone out to parents, dance teachers and anyone else who may be interested in supporting this project.
