A MAGICAL display of illuminated trees on show at the St Mellion International Resort has raised more than £4,300 for the NSPCC.
It is the seventh year that the NSPCC has staged the Christmas Tree Festival in partnership with the St Mellion Resort, and with support from local businesses who sponsor individual trees.
Ladies of St Mellion WI, who give their time to install the trees and support the event.
‘We have managed to sponsor 10 trees this year and we will have raised £4,333 when all pedges are in,’ said NSPCC volunteer fundraiser Phil Paynter.
‘The trees will be on view until after the New Year celebrations.’
The task of judging the decorations fell this year to BBC weather presenter Holly Green, who declared Midas Construction as the winners of the ‘best dressed tree’.
Money from this year’s festival will support Childline and Schools Services provided by the NSPCC.
