Callington Age Concern Luncheon Club held its first autumn lunch at the new venue, the Mustard Seed, last week.
The club had been closed for a month whilst the room and kitchen were organised for the winter session.
Members had missed their weekly lunches very much and were so happy to be together again and to enjoy their meal.
Mr Williams, the conductor of Callington Singers, brought five students from his college to entertain the members after lunch.
They all had very promising voices and were much enjoyed by all.
The Mustard Seed had prepared a very tasteful room and provided six new tables for the occasion. The kitchen was also well equipped, with plenty of space to produce the meal.
On November 14 the club is having a coffee morning from 10am to 12 noon.
There will be the usual stalls , everyone will be welcomed, so please give the usual support but remember to go to the Mustard Seed and not the WI Hall as in the past.
The proceeds from the coffee morning will help with the expenses of the Christmas party.
