East Cornwall rugby player Lucy Demaine has been selected for the England Under-18 squad for the Lions' match against Wales in Guildford, Surrey, on Tuesday.

For Lucy, this is the culmination of almost 11 years of playing rugby, and she has been part of the England Under-18 Talent Development Group (TDG).

She started playing rugby at the age of seven at Liskeard-Looe RFC.

In 2004, when she could no longer play mixed rugby with the boys, two all-girls' teams emerged named the Leopards – at under-14 and under-17 level – attracting girls from all over South Easy Cornwall and beyond.
