The leading three teams all lost in the latest round

of matches, with Con Lions staying top ahead of White Hart on games won.

The leaders went down 10-8 at Highwayman, as Paul Runnalls and Bernie Hoskin, Roger Higman and Robert Cowling all won three each and Mark Hancock and Alan Colwill two for Con Lions.

White Hart started slowly away to Con A and lost the first half 5-4, but secured every second-half round 2-1 to snatch a 10-8 victory.

Pete Pollard and John Bennallick managed five, Bob Bettison and Taff Lewis three and Tim Pound and Nobby Clark two for the White Hart, while Steve and Gary Pryor clinched four and Sue Pryor and Pete Downham three for Con A.

Legion C lost the first half 5-4 away to Stag A, but came good in the second, taking it by 7-2 for an 11-7 scoreline.

Jim Rodda and Brian Clift, Elaine Bendelow and Heather Allen all won four each and Chrissie Haynes and Brian Crabb three for Legion C.

Graham Pengelly and Dave Trevarthen managed four and Frankie Powell and Jim Kelly two for Stag A.

Legion B claimed both points with a 10-8 victory at London.

Colin Penwarden and John Brice, Pete Sapsed and Dave Crocker all claimed four and Bill McGloughlin and Mike Williams two for Legion B, while William Taylor and Brian Martyn secured four and Dave Soady jnr and Dave Soady Senior, Nigel Yeo and Dave Brice two each for the London.

Garrison had three nap rounds and led by 9-3 after only four rounds, but struggled to get over the finishing line as White Horse A secured five of the last six to only lose 10-8.

Chris Black-Borow and John Saunter took four and Terry Lobb and Mike Black-Borow, Fred Hughes and Bruce Hamley three each for the Garrison, while Phil Golley and Brian Staddon, Darren Hoare and Marcus Mitchell all won three and Barry Martin and Rod Lucas two for the White Horse A.

Legion A started slowly at home to Millennium and were 7-5 down, but clinched all of the last six games to triumph 11-7.

Herbie Wyatt and Hadyn Saunders won all six, Mike Hutchings and Paul Abrahams three and Mike Strand and John Miners two for Legion A, while Richard Paul and Alison Berry had three and Alan Hoare and Richard Rendle, Maureen Skews and Nick Gilbert two each for the Millennium.
